Digital literacy for digital security

A.Director of the Science Technology Park Belgrade, Gordana Danilović Grković, greeted the participants of the panel that was held today in the NTP organized by the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications on the occasion of marking the “Safe Internet Day”. She, presenting the results of the STP’s work so far, stated that working with children on computer literacy is one of the most important preconditions for their safety in the technological sense.
State Secretary at the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Tatjana Matic said that digital literacy for children and young people is a precondition for proper, efficient and safe use of new technologies.
At the conference on the Safety Internet Day at Science-Technology Park Belgrade, Matic congratulated the award-winning teachers at the Digital Time competition, which was officially presented with diplomas.
The Special Guest of the Conference, Unicef Serbia representative Michel Sen-Lo, said that it is clear that children are at the center of Serbia’s digital politics and that it is necessary to fully operationalize the rules and mechanisms for the safety of children on the Internet, especially when it comes to protecting privacy and identity children online.
On this occasion, two panel discussions were held: “Digital Literacy for Digital Security” and “Institutional and Civil Response to Endangering the Safety of Children on the Internet”, attended by representatives of the education and health sector, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the NGO “Save the Children “And UNICEF, representatives of the National Contact Center for Children’s Safety on the Internet, as well as Igor Juric, founder of the Foundation Tijana Juric.
International Security Day is celebrated today in over 130 countries around the world, with the message “Create, Connect, Share Respect: Better Internet Starts with You”.
