International conference “Western Balkan Startup Forum”, organized by the Innovation Entrepreneurship Center Tehnopolis, is taking place in Nikšić on December 18-19th. The conference aims to analyze the conditions for the development of the start-up ecosystems in the Western Balkans, as well as to define recommendations for technological support in the region.
Gordana Danilović Grković, acting director of Science Technology Park Belgrade participated in the Western Balkans Startup Ecosystem panel, held immediately after the opening ceremony of the conference. Panel were gathered representatives of technology parks and institutions from the regions that support the development of innovation and technological entrepreneurship, who discussed about the most useful and needed state support mechanisms in building a start-up ecosystem, the role of education and research institutions in that process as well as about activities that stimulate and attract talent pool for innovative entrepreneurship.
Danilović Grković were talking about the importance of the role of science technology parks in creating innovation systems, youth employment and export promotion, emphasized their importance for regional development and presented the development path and the results of STP Belgrade, which three years after its establishment have gathered more than 70 companies and about 650 engineers.
