Without innovation there is no progress, and knowledge-based economy will be in focus in the future – that is conclusion of the panel “From Innovation to Transformation” that was held today at the Kopaonik Business Forum.
Panelists were Gordana Danilović Grković, actic direcotor of Ssience Technology Park Belgrade, H.E. Perti Ikonen, Ambassador of Finland in Serbia, Jan Kobler, partner in South Central Ventures, Vladeta Marjanovic, President of the Expert Commission of the Innovation Fund and Ana Solecki, Head of the European Investment Bank in Serbia.
The panel discussed the situation in the innovation eco-system, the progress that has been achieved and the challenges ahead, and emphasized development in the regulatory framework as extremely important. H.E. Ambassador of Finland noted the importance of education and entrepreneurial learning in the process of transformation of the country. At the same time, Vladeta Marjanović and Danilović Grković emphasized the importance of institution development, such as the Innovation Fund and STP Belgrade, as well as the synergies of all participants.
Panelists agreed that it is crucial to work hard on developing business skills of young people, creating networks and connecting with diaspora.
