European Innovation Council, Serbian Ministry of education, science and technological development and the Delegation of the EU organized European Innovation Council Roadshow in Serbia on July 16th at STP Belgrade. The event aimed at raising awareness among relevant national stakeholders on the activities of the EIC in order to show possible opportunities for future collaboration.
At the opening ceremony the quests were addressed by Gordana Danilović Grković, acting director of the Science Technology Park Belgrade, Viktor Nedović, a state secretary in the Serbian Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development and Sakelaris Hourdas representative of the Delegation of the EU.
Ms Luisa Prista, from Executive Agency for SMEs of the European Commission presented the activities of the European Innovation Council and the possibilities for cooperation with interested institutions. Among other things, she emphasized that the EIC aims to identify and support technologies and creative innovations in the market.
Panel discussion about innovative ecosystems was also organized, while second part of the event was dedicated to presentations of the European Innovation Council new funding oportunities. Timo Hallantie, Head of Unit, from the Research Executive Agency of the European Commission, Accelerator and Frédérique Péron-Lührs, from Directorate General Research and Innovation, shared novelties in the 2019-20 EIC Work Programme and practical information on submission and evaluation of proposals.
