CIPS project activities presented at the International Technology Fair in Belgrade

As part of the official program of this year’s International Technology Fair in Belgrade, held from May 20 to 23, activities from the Capital Innovation Point Serbia (CIPS) project were featured on the second day of the event. CIPS represents a new European digital innovation hub, spearheaded by the Science and Technology Park Belgrade.

Between startup pitch sessions, the spotlight was on the importance of access to cutting-edge research and technological infrastructure for accelerating innovation processes. Real-world examples of successful practices and resources available through the CIPS project were presented. Nina Novaković from STP Belgrade was joined by partner institution representatives — Zoran Đorović from the Data Centre Kragujevac and Prof. Dr. Bane Popadić from the Faculty of Technical Sciences, University of Novi Sad, to discuss how strategic use of the CIPS network can strengthen the competitiveness of Serbian companies.

The program also featured a workshop hosted by the University of Belgrade – School of Electrical Engineering (ETF), an associated project partner, showcasing effective models of collaboration between academia and industry, with practical case studies in robotics and artificial intelligence.

This year’s Technology Fair once again brought together innovators, experts, and enthusiasts from the fields of science and technology, creating valuable opportunities for networking and knowledge exchange with representatives from innovation centres and science technology parks across Serbia.
