As part of the international workshop “EDIH in Action: Supporting the Digital Transformation of SMEs”, held within Moldova Digital Summit 2026, Srna Ignjatović from EDIH CIPS Serbia participated in a panel dedicated to sharing best practices from mature European Digital Innovation Hubs.
During the discussion, practical examples were presented demonstrating how EDIHs can go beyond their role as ecosystem builders and become trusted partners for companies by providing tailored services, facilitating access to expertise and advanced technologies, and supporting digital innovation projects with measurable outcomes.
The panel highlighted the importance of connecting real business challenges with available digital solutions and showcased how EDIHs can accelerate the digital transformation of SMEs through hands-on support, strategic guidance, and cross-border collaboration.
Together with representatives of Digital Innovation Zone EDIH, EDIH-DO, Kharkiv IT Cluster, EDIH Kyiv HiTech, Win-Win EDIH Ukraine, Business Accelerator UKIM, GIZ Moldova, the DT4SME project, and Moldovan public institutions, participants explored opportunities for stronger regional cooperation and new support models for SMEs in transport, logistics, manufacturing, and other sectors.
Through the exchange of knowledge, lessons learned, and practical experiences, EDIH centers across Europe continue to strengthen the innovation ecosystem and help companies gain access to the expertise, technologies, and partnerships needed to remain competitive in an increasingly digital economy.
We thank the organizers for the invitation and the opportunity to contribute to this important international event.
