KPIs and budget planning play an important role in startup product development, particularly during the early stages of business growth.

These were the key topics discussed by the fifth generation of Raising Starts teams during a workshop held at Science Technology Park Belgrade. Through practical examples, participants learned more about tracking progress, defining key performance indicators and making better financial decisions.

The workshop also covered basic accounting principles and some of the most common financial planning mistakes that can slow down the growth of startups in the pre-seed stage.

The session also provided an opportunity for questions, exchange of experiences and networking among participants.

Mentor Sreten Vranić shared his insights and practical advice with the teams, while financial expert Jelena Marković presented best practices and experiences from previous years.

The programme is implemented within the project “Technopark Serbia 3 – Innovate Forward”, implemented by Science Technology Park Belgrade with the support of the Government of Switzerland and the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO).
