Between a scientific discovery and market success lies one crucial step – capital that recognizes the potential of innovation while understanding the risks associated with its development and commercialization.

Science Technology Park Belgrade hosted the event “Investing in Scientific Innovation: Yes/No and Why?”, bringing together leaders of scientific institutions and innovation programs, as well as investors, to open a dialogue around an important question: What does it take for a scientific innovation to become an investable company?

The discussion featured Dr. Diane Bouis, scientist, investor and technology transfer expert; Asher Siddiqui, venture capital (VC) investor; David Keriaekes, MedTech startup investor; and Nastja Preradović-Višić, Lead Manager for Innovation Development and Commercialization and Industry Cooperation at the Vinča Institute of Nuclear Sciences.

The event was organized in cooperation between the Vinča Institute of Nuclear Sciences, the 6SAVA project and Science Technology Park Belgrade.
