Odile Renaud-Basso, President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), visited the Science Technology Park Belgrade yesterday. She was accompanied by Serbia’s Minister of Science, Innovation, and Technological Development, Dr Jelena Begović.

The EBRD delegation also included Mark Bowen, one of the three Vice Presidents of the EBRD.

During the visit, the delegation was introduced to the achievements, community, and support programs STP Belgrade provides to startups and tech development companies within the ecosystem. They also had the opportunity to learn more about two innovative startups: EcoHive, which is developing an eco-friendly device for removing bee mites, and Inclusio, a platform that facilitates daily activities for people with disabilities in public spaces.

The visit concluded with attendance at pitch presentations by Serbian startups competing for a spot in the EBRD Star Venture program.
