On Thursday, September 26th, at 12 PM, Science Technology Park Belgrade is hosting the workshop “How NOT to Mess Up Your International Expansion” led by Gernot Schwendtner, an international scaling expert and founder of Upvisor Global.
With over 15 years of experience in international scaling and partnerships with investors, Gernot has helped more than 400 companies expand into over 100 countries. Gernot will guide participants through an interactive three-hour workshop and the expansion canvas through common pitfalls and proven strategies for successful international expansion.
Topics include:
- Why do companies fail to enter new markets?
- What are the tested tools and guidelines to avoid costly mistakes?
- How to prepare for international expansion?
- How do you test markets and create an effective go-to-market plan?
- Do you need a Country Manager, and how should your organization be structured?
- Which cultural pitfalls should you avoid?
Gernot will share the “Do’s & Don’ts” from over 400 international expansion projects.
The day after the workshop, on September 27th, Gernot will hold a limited number of one-on-one sessions (participation in the workshop is a prerequisite for the one-on-one consultations).
Registration for both the workshop and one-on-one sessions is required at the LINK by September 24th at noon.
Seats are limited. Priority will be given to companies in more advanced stages of development.
The workshop is organized as part of the Raising Starts alumni gathering within the project “Technopark Serbia 2 – Boosting Exports Through the Technoparks,” supported by the Swiss Government.
