Today, STP Belgrade hosted the start of a four-day training program designed for managers of science and technology parks and other innovation support organisations in Serbia. Top Israeli experts lead the training in innovation and entrepreneurial development.

The program is implemented with the support of the Israeli Agency for International Development Cooperation – MASHAV.

The opening ceremony of the four-day training (September 12–18) was attended by Academician Bela Balint, Minister of Science, Technological Development and Innovation of the Republic of Serbia, and H.E. Avivit Bar-Ilan, Ambassador of Israel to Serbia, who welcomed the participants. Dr Marija Milić, Acting Director of STP Belgrade, also addressed the attendees.

The “Empowering Innovation: Strategic Leadership for Science & Technology Park Managers” program aims to strengthen the capacities of teams managing science and technology parks through strategic, operational, and digital tools necessary for developing sustainable and globally competitive innovation centres. Through interactive workshops and practical examples, participants will explore best practices for startup development, internationalisation, and building innovation ecosystems.

The trainers, Rami Gazit and Moti Hirsh Meir from Haifa, are experts in startup accelerators, technology parks, and entrepreneurial ecosystem development, with extensive experience in innovation and teaching at the Golda Meir MASHAV-Carmel International Training Centre.
