Gordana Danilović Grković, acting director of Science Technology Park Belgrade participated today on the panel about trends in the development of start-up ecosystem, within the two-days workshop Startups and Technology Transfer in Innovation Ecosystems in South-East Europe and the Alpine Region in Ljubljana (November 15th-16th).
The panel was devoted to a discussion about the nature of startup ecosystems, trends in their future development and presentation of some successful examples. Danilović Grković referred to startup ecosystem in Serbia, presented the development path of the first science-technology park in Serbia – Science Technology Park Belgrade, and emphasized a great importance of such organizations in supporting innovative activities. She noted that Serbia has great potential in young educated people, as well as that there is a great commitment in building science-technology parks and startup centers in Serbia that will support the further development of innovative ecosystems.
Workshop Startups and Technology Transfer in Innovation Ecosystems in South-East Europe and Alpine Region was organized by the The European Commission’s Joint Research Centre (DG JRC) in collaboration with Technology Park Ljubljana, Ministry of education, science and sport – AG1 EUSALP, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, SI TTO consortia and Slovenian Public research institutes. The purpose of the workshop and proposed content is to provide policy makers and innovation practitioners with knowledge and practical insights in setting up successful startup, spin-off and knowledge transfer platforms with support programmes that can strengthen regional/national innovation ecosystems.
