High delegation of the German Ministry of Economy of North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) visited today first science and technology park in Serbia. The visit of Science Technology Park Belgrade was a preparation for the visit of Dr Andreas Pinkwart, Minister of Economy, Innovation, Digitization and Energy of the Province NRW, who will visit Serbia shortly at the invitation of the Serbian Ministry of Economy.
The German delegation was led by Dr Tobias Traupel, Head of Foreign Trade Sector at the Ministry of Economy, Innovation, Digitization and Energy, with Karl-Alois Bläser, Head of EU, Northern, Central and Eastern Europe, Russia and the UK Coordination, Wulf-Christian Ehrich Deputy Director and Head of Foreign Affairs, IHK zu Dortmund, Elena Matekina – Head of Southeast Europe at NRW Invest, and Dimitros Athanassio, associate.
The visit was also attended by representatives of the German-Serbian Chamber of Commerce in Belgrade (AHK) led by its director, Mr. Martin Knapp.
The German delegation heard more about development path, programs, activities and results of STP Belgrade, under whose roof more than 70 start-ups and technology-development companies develop their innovative products and services. Guests also visited the newly equipped 3D Innovation Lab, and observed innovative solutions and products of the STP Belgrade companies Digital Worx and Desing.
The German delegation expressed great satisfaction with the visit to STP Belgrade, and pointed out great opportunities for cooperation between start-ups of two countries, as well as cooperation between STP Belgrade and NRW institutions supporting innovation development.
