Startups Smart Watering, Kagera AI, Tannera Technologies, Kredium and Natura Eco, were selected as the top 5 in the local AIM Startup competition, organized by the Science Technology Park Belgrade (STP Belgrade) in partnership with the Annual Investment Meeting (AIM), a leading investment platform in the Middle East and North Africa.

Local winners will present their innovative products and services to global audiences and investors at the prestigious AIM 2022 Investment Summit on 29-31st of March at the Expo2020 World Expo in Dubai, this event is a great opportunity to increase global visibility, open new markets, raise additional capital and establish new business contacts. To the best startup from Serbia, Smart Watering, was given the opportunity to participate in the finals of the global AIM Startup competition,  while the remaining four startups will compete in the pitch qualifying competition so they could pitch in the finals as well.

Selected startups from Serbia are developing innovations in agro-tech industry (smart irrigation systems), a solution based on machine learning in the energy industry, advanced hardware solutions for 5G infrastructure, digitalization and internationalization of mortgages, as well as 3D printing. They were chosen as local winners in a very fierce competition, among 29 startup companies that participated in the local AIM Startup competition. Congratulations to all on the great applications, and in the coming period, we will work on similar initiatives to support further strengthening of the local ecosystem, international networking and greater global exposure of startups from Serbia.

This year’s Annual Investment Meeting, the eleventh in a row, will once again be a meeting place for corporate leaders, capital representatives, regional and international investors, entrepreneurs, leading academic and investment experts and senior government officials and decision-makers. type. The theme of this year’s event is “Investing in Sustainable Innovation for a Successful Future”. So far, this prestigious gathering has gathered more than 124,000 visitors, about 3,500 exhibitors and co-exhibitors, as well as over 1,800 speakers from 160 countries.
