An Anhui University of Technology (AHUT) delegation based in the eponymous Chinese province visited Science Technology Park Belgrade (STP Belgrade) today. The two parties discussed models of support for innovation development and shared a wealth of experience and practices regarding the future development of the support system.

The visit to STP Belgrade took place within the framework of the visit by a high-level Chinese delegation to the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Belgrade as part of the Chinese party’s drive to further develop specific cooperation arrangements in the fields of education, research and interaction with the industry.

STP Belgrade introduced the guests to the development background and the growing community of Serbia’s first science technology park, which, as part of its development of programmes and services to support innovation and tech entrepreneurship, maintains and fosters close ties and cooperation with universities, science institutes and research laboratories nationwide. Members of the Chinese delegation shared information on their cooperation system between universities and STPs in science and innovation.

The Chinese delegation included the Anhui University of Technology President, the Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Anhui Province, representatives of institutes and science bureaus and the University’s professors.

Anhui Province lies close to Shanghai and Nanking. With a population of 80 million, it is one of China’s leading provinces in terms of economy, with a highly developed industrial research and education base.
