Dr Mihailo Jovanović, Director of the Office for Information Technologies and eGovernment, visited the Science Technology Park Belgrade today.
During his visit, he met with the STP Belgrade team and Acting Director Dr Marija Milić to exchange ideas on innovation, digitalisation, and the development of the ICT sector in Serbia.
– Visiting the Science Technology Park highlighted how innovation and creativity within our tech community are powerful drivers of Serbia’s development. We agreed to promote further the use of the National Artificial Intelligence Development Platform and our supercomputer at the State Data Centre in Kragujevac by companies and startups within STP Belgrade. We also emphasised the importance of involving them in developing software solutions and products for eGovernment, to encourage the best innovative solutions from young professionals in Serbia’s digitalisation process – said Dr Jovanović.
He added that, together with STP Belgrade and startup companies, they are building a future where digitalisation and new solutions improve citizens’ daily lives and strengthen the partnership between public institutions and the technology ecosystem. During the visit, he invited the STP Belgrade director to tour Ložionica, Belgrade and Serbia’s new digital and creative hub, set to open in September.
The visit also included an introduction to innovative companies operating within STP Belgrade that are making significant contributions to the tech sector. Among them were Dirigent Acoustic, specialising in acoustic comfort and soundproofing; Beam Global, developing infrastructure for e-mobility and sustainable energy; and the startup My Flow, which uses software solutions to enhance employees’ psycho-physical well-being.
