STP Belgrade Delivers Lecture on Startups and Intellectual Property within the University of Belgrade Legal Clinic

The Belgrade Science and Technology Park delivered a lecture titled “Startups – Establishment, Financing, and Intellectual Property” as part of the Legal Clinic program traditionally organized by the Faculty of Law at the University of Belgrade.

Clinical legal education is an interactive teaching method based on the learning from experience principle, enabling law students to gain practical knowledge and skills through real-life cases and hands-on learning.

During the lecture, the STP Belgrade team presented programs designed to support young people, students, and aspiring entrepreneurs interested in innovation and technology-driven entrepreneurship. Participants were introduced to the fundamentals of the startup ecosystem and the key stages involved in building innovative businesses.

A significant part of the session focused on startup development, covering topics such as identifying market problems, validating business ideas, developing a minimum viable product (MVP), and acquiring the first users and customers.

The discussion also addressed the legal aspects of innovation and startup development, with the participation of experts from the Rizvanović Law Office. Students gained valuable insights into intellectual property protection, innovation safeguarding mechanisms, copyrights, patents, and other legal issues relevant to technology-based ventures.

Initiatives such as this strengthen the connection between academia and the innovation ecosystem while encouraging young professionals to transform their knowledge and ideas into innovative entrepreneurial ventures.
