The international program “Enhancement of Startup Ecosystem in Metropolitan Area” has successfully concluded in Tokyo. Supported by the Government of Japan and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the program brought together representatives of organizations working to develop and strengthen startup ecosystems.

A representative of Science Technology Park Belgrade also took part in the program, gaining valuable insights into Japan’s approach to innovation development and startup support through lectures, workshops, and study visits.

A particular focus of the program was on strengthening connections between science, universities, industry, and investors, as well as topics such as the commercialization of scientific research, the development of university spin-off companies, support for deep-tech startups, and intellectual property protection.

The experiences and best practices gained through the program will provide a valuable contribution to the further improvement of the support programs that STP Belgrade develops for Serbia’s innovation and startup ecosystem.
