Nine Serbian gaming companies are participating for the first time in the world’s largest gaming trade fair, Gamescom. They will exhibit at the national stand, led by the Serbian Games Association (SGA).

Among them is Phobos, a member company and alumnus of our Raising Starts programme, which will present to the world its thrilling Cloudbursgame. Their entry and participation at Gamescom is supported by STP Belgrade through the project “Technopark Serbia 2 – Boosting Exports through Technoparks”, with support from the Swiss Government.

Apart from Phobos, the SGA stand at Gamescom will also introduce the audience to the excellent indie gaming studio Shosha Games and their Water&Me game, while Bohemian Pulp will also mingle at the trade fair. These are the “new lights on the horizon” of Serbia’s gaming startup scene, who have also been supported by the Raising Starts programme in the development of their authentic games!

The exhibition of Serbian gaming companies has garnered much attention from the international business community and visitors, as Serbia’s gaming industry anticipates a 10% growth this year.

Serbian participants are led by the Serbian Games Association (SGA) at the national stand, as part of the leading European business platform for this industry, Gamescom for Business, with support from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
