Representatives of STP Belgrade, together with two startups from our community, MatchIT and InLoodis took part in the 25th China Hi-tech Fair held in Shenzhen! Under the auspices of the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation of the Republic of Serbia, in cooperation with the Chamber of Industry and Commerce of Serbia, the Serbian tech innovation community took part in Asia’s most prestigious tech fair for the first time this year. The delegation included representatives and tech companies from the country’s four science technology parks (Beograd, Niš, Čačak, Novi Sad).
Our startups garnered huge attention among visitors and had contacts with potential partners regarding the future development and global expansion of their operations. Visitors were particularly drawn to the hologram platform presented by the startup Inloodis, whose development is supported through our Raising Starts program. It develops smart glasses that enable young basketball players to see interactive hologram players during training sessions and thus gain a far more realistic idea of potential situations during a game.
Shenzhen is known as China’s Silicon Valley and one of the world’s leading innovation centers, with 32 of China’s 300 unicorns based in the city.
During the fair, the Serbian delegation also had an opportunity to visit the headquarters of some of China’s best-known and most innovative companies: Huawei, BYD, and Ubitech, as well as to visit other actors in the tech innovation community, such as the Harbin Institute of Technology.
