The contract signing ceremony of the first group of companies – members of the Science Technology Park Belgrade was organized on Wednesday, March 2, 2016, in the premises of the complex in Zvezdara, in the presence of representatives of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, representatives of the City of Belgrade, as well as other guests of STP Belgrade. On this occasion the agreements on the provision of infrastructure and professional services in the STP Belgrade were signed by 6 technology development companies.

The first public call for technology development companies to join the STP Belgrade selected 13 companies, which are evaluated on the basis of their innovation potential, as well as the potential for exports and employment. The first group of 6 companies, which signed a contract plans to employ over 50 highly educated people and has great development potential, and half of these companies have majority foreign ownership. The companies are mainly in the field of information communication technologies, energy efficiency and food technology.

Attendees were addressed by Prof. Dr Branko Bugarski, Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development, Mr. Dragomir Petronijevic, a member of the City Council of the City of Belgrade, Prof. Dr. Ivanka Popović, Vice-Rector of the University of Belgrade and Ms. Gordana Danilovic Grković, acting director of STP Belgrade and on this occasion congratulated the companies and welcomed them to STP Beograd.
