Innovation Camp Belgrade 2017

ИНОВАЦИОНИ КАМП БЕОГРАД 2017

An Innovation Camp was held in Belgrade 14-15 December, in Science-Technology Park Belgrade. This Camp is organized in order to better understand the needs of software companies, in order to define future priorities for innovation policy in Serbia, and is the first in a series of such events that will be organized in the following period as part of the Entrepreneurial Discovery Process, or the participation of all stakeholders in the development of the Strategy research and innovation for the smart specialization of the Republic of Serbia.
This camp brought together representatives of software companies, policy makers, software industry experts and representatives of the academic community from Serbia and the Western Balkans to discuss the key challenges of our software industry in order to provide the conditions for creating its future development. Following the example of the already held innovation camps in Amsterdam, Barcelona, Bratislava and Thessaloniki, this event was organized by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, the Republic Secretariat for Public Policy, the Mihajlo Pupin Institute, supported by the Joint Research Center of the European Commission and ST Park Belgrade.
The Belgrade Innovation Camp was opened by Viktor Nedović, in front of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, and Jasna Atanasijević, in front of RSPP, emphasizing the importance of the consultative process in creating public policy documents. It was also emphasized that it is very important that the development of public policy documents is based on quality analyzes and data. Such an approach, in line with the European methodology, as well as the horizontal coordination of public policies, should lead to priority development areas, which will be defined by this strategy.
