In the Italian city of Ispri, a week of macro-regional innovation is organized by DG JRC, whose intention is to promote the exchange of best practices, knowledge, tools and methods among innovators and policy-makers and decision-makers from European macro-regions including the Western Balkans.
This event is attended by representatives of STP Belgrade, who will participate in the conference.The week of macro-regional innovation will also begin with the opening of research infrastructures and laboratories and present the technical and scientific competences of the DG JRC, especially in the areas of environment, energy, transport and biotechnology
This event also presents the key results of the scientific support activities of the DG JRC to the European Union Strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR) that can be relevant for other macro regions
Round table discussions on synergy of instruments and competences will be held with the aim of connecting specialized strategies and transferring technologies, innovation ecosystems, research, education and skills.
