Presentation Science technology park – The Future of your city, intended for faculty and high school students, was held on December 11th at Faculty of Technical Sciences in Čačak. It emphasized importance and role of science and technology parks in the development and commercialization of innovations and encouraging entrepreneurship among young people.
Mirko Pešić, acting director of NTP Čačak said that the establishment and development of science and technology parks is very impornat for the growth of local and national economy, the employment of young educated people, as well as for advancement of society through the development of new products and value added services. He pointed out that, with the financial support of the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Cabinet of the Minister for Innovation and Technological Development, they are equipping and establishing the Start Center in Čačak, which will create additional conditions for the development of the startups, the establishment of high-tech companies and the promotion of regional development.
Gordana Danilović Grković, acting director of NTP Belgrade emphasized that Čačak has a great potential in young educated people. They will be encouraged by these support models to start their startups, develop a startup community and their products within NTP Čačak. That this is possible is shown on the example of NTP Belgrade, which today gathers more than 70 companies and about 650 engineers.
Startups representatives from Lean pay and Event rate, who operating at Science Technology Park Belgrade, shared their experiences in the development of companies with young people in Čačak.
The participants were also addressed by prof. Dr. Danijela Milosevic, Dean FTN Cacak and Milica Dacic, Deputy Mayor of Cacak.
